I was staggered to learn recently that one of Andre Agassi's 'superstitions' was not to wear any underpants during matches. I wish I'd known earlier

At least it's nice to know that Andy Murray (probably by far the best tennis player the UK has produced to date) is hardly ever likely to become a 'gay idol'.
And I'm willing to bet no one's more relieved about that than Andy Murray ...

The poll was conducted for dating site ‘gay-PARSHIP.co.uk’, they asked users to vote for their top male tennis pin ups. Spokesman Adrain Gillian said "He is slightly vulnerable. And there’s also something sexy about that Scottish accent." The fiery Murray topped a poll by gay Brits, beating Aussie Mark Philippoussis into second place by 4 percent. The 3rd, 4th and 5th positions were grabbed by Andy Roddick, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal, respectively in the list of ‘Top 5 Male Tennis Pin-Ups’."

Andy Murray is an intelligent guy and must know exactly what his 'problem' is at winning a Masters. Tennis, like golf, requires mental discipline at the pressure moments, and that's what he is constantly striving for, but surely his overall skill and ability is beyond any reasonable dispute ?.... just ask his opponents!
As my youngest sister in Glasgow says, maybe it is simply a 'Scottish' thing ... we love to challenge as underdogs and if we ever win anything we have lost that supremely romantic and traditional mantle forever.
