Just seen an unbeatable reason to vote for JC. He wants to make my birthday a public holiday.

That's settled it then, my lifelong Tory voting is coming to an end.

Thank you Bbm, I am just hoping that the new Windsor child does not get named Bryn. Should that happen I might try and get the authorised correction from 24th to 23rd on my Birth Certificate revoked.

I didn't know John Corrigan was standing for anything , but he's got my vote too.

Just to clarify, I was born shortly before midnight on 23rd. My birth certificate bears an authorised correction from 24th to 23rd. Hence my avatar over at R3OK is:

'twas indeed a fine day, as is today. Back to work tomorrow for one of my three days a week. Feeling more and more like retiring each day. I definitely plan to cut back a further day by October.

Thanks EA. Early night tonight I think. Straight from work to Kings Place tomorrow for For John Cage played on a modern set-up violin with barque bow by Darragh Morgan, and John Tilbury on a Steinway D, plus visuals by Julia Bardsley. With luck and a fair wind I should be home in the not too early hours of Thursday.
