Instead of bothering about football we should all do something constructive, like uniting to overthrow capitalism and installing a workers state, like Michael Palin did in one of his Ripping Yarns, which were brilliant.

I'm afraid my support is limited these days to checking ITFC's results on 'Final Score'. (I think that's still better than pretending to be a Manchester United fan). 'Mediocre' is the adjective that most readily comes to mind once again this season.
Chez nous, our viewing of sports is limited to the Six Nations and Wimbledon.

        We could do both.

I agree with most of that except the replay thing - I think that any side level at 90 minutes deserves another go on their own turf and if over congested Prem sides have a problem then put out the right team for the first match. There is not the unlimited no of replays that there was.

LIVE tonight on BBC1: FA Cup 4th round replay - Swansea City v Notts County. That should have the ITV/Channel 4/Sky schedulers shaking in their boots.

If I didn't take an interest in sport of various kinds., I'd be enormously "horizontally challenged" and unhealthy.

There really should be a BBC sports channel for games such as tonight's.

                        There's this:

Live coverage of the FA Cup fourth-round replay between Swansea City and Notts County.

But in reply to the general point, anything more would cost the BBC more than they could possibly afford (unless they paid presenters their true worth ).

Don't give a fig about TV schedulers, I am very interested in the match however as the outcome pitches either a home tie for the Owls against their former recent manager or a banana skin tie against a loser division club. Would you prefer an all prem tie of one weakened side against another?

Football doesn't leave me cold but I've liked it less and less as the transfer fees grew and grew and I would rather see sides from the lower divisions than Premier League games between teams of multi-millionaires. I much prefer watching the 6 Nations and following the fortunes of our local Championship team.

Some particularly poor punditry On MOTD recently.

Having the specific rule read out to them, Jenas and Lawro still concluded the first penalty was offside at Anfield Sunday.

By general consensus the linesman did a good job while Jenas merely concludes that he made life difficult for the ref.
