DCMS Committee to question top BBC officials on 2016/17 Annual Report
Senior management from the BBC - including Director-General, Tony Hall - will take questions from the Digital, Culture, Media and Sport Committee on its Annual Report and Accounts for the year 2016/17 in a public session on Tuesday.
MPs are likely to use the session to ask about the renewal of the Royal Charter, a board which has replaced the previous two-pronged governance structure of the Executive Board and the BBC Trust.
Questions are also likely to cover the publication of top-earner salaries, issues of diversity and the gender pay gap for both on-screen talent and BBC staff, and their plans to combat fake news through the expansion of their Reality Check team. Other topics of interest may include their strategy to compete with other online TV streaming services and the potential creation of a dedicated BBC Scotland channel.

Sir David Clementi, Chairman, BBC
Anne Bulford OBE, Deputy Director-General, BBC
