      Entirely agree, FHG.
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
      Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

Thanks, Ardcarp. I'll post something when it's available.

Yes it would be better if they could just 'fess up to wanting to watch the programmes instead of hiding behind some feeble(and ultimately rather self-defeating) excuse.
Though my own view is that education will never help some people
I think that's always been the case, but sadly what increasingly seems to pass for education these days is even less able to equip folks to make a semi-informed choice about their level of ignorance.

It differs say from reading the Guardian or Telegraph in its all -pervasiveness and the sheer amount of time people spend on it . Many of these news feeds are poorly evidenced and designed to provoke anger or unthinking consent - anything for a click really .
What is good about this forum is the quality of evidence people use to support their assertions. It is interesting to observe , for want of a better word the psychopathology of some web fora where the commenters know each other well, know their trigger points and almost seem to be spoiling for a fight .
It might be though that the reticence of people on this forum means that the following opinions are rarely heard -
              1. Bernard Haitink is an indifferent conductor
2 Katie Derham is an excellent presenter
3 . Twelve tone music will never catch on
4 . On the whole the move to more popular fare on R3 has been a good thing.
Or it could be that those who think these things have chosen to go elsewhere .....
You've got 3 out of 4 there, Uncle Bernie is OK but not God!

Agreed to above, though I was always amused living in Sweden at being called "moron" each morning.

I tend to avoid the FA (and other sports') Threads, so it went right over my head.

I don't trust people who don't like football.

                          Surely -
Interaction with distributors, interaction with marketing agencies, organization of concert activities, creation of domestic and technical riders, preparation of tour schedule and provision of tour manager.

If it helps - if I'm alone in a room with a tea cosy: yes, I do.
