        Yes, it doesn't bother me particularly.

        It seemed to me to be of a piece with online booking only, which has been so strongly objected to. What do you think of that?

          I wouldn't do it myself as I do like people to be able to turn up "on spec"
          but if they are selling out their gigs it's fine (IMV) to have online sales only if it makes sense and is simple to do.

            Well, there'll be no more surcharges for card payments from next January.

            But of course:

            ...some commentators said they expected that many companies would simply hike their prices to compensate for the loss of this money, or change the name of the fee...
