Plenty of crocuses out already here - seem to be mostly yellow, but I have seen a few blue ones. I am afraid the weather tomorrow will put paid to all that.

Luckily the dog takes no notice of freezing rain. She seems to enjoy it.

The weather warnings have gone from the forecast here, but the outlook is still perishing cold.

We’ve had a smattering of snow, that’s it down here. I have my regular appointment with my specialist doctor this morning but it’s goibg to be a cold preamble up there.

Vorticists were pretty startling, I believe... polar ones are new.

Ouch! Puts things in perspective - continental climate writ large.
Snow fell late last night here but had melted somewhat by morning and not much ice thank heavens; brilliant sunshine is doing a good job of clearing more. Weather warnings are not only back but seem to have bred during their brief absence to cover through to Friday night.

                  Which temperature scale, Richard?
                  I'm guessing F not C.

(PS: Yes, the BBC site says -26 C at present!)

Snow and ice up here since this morning.

And the snow didn't melt during the day.

The thing that i find most irritating about this wintry weather is having to rearrange ( working) life endlessly.

Well that, and and the cold, car de -icing etc etc ....mumble grumble......

Yes, exactly - edges melted, seeped, so what will those melted bits do overnight...?
                              Correct.
