Stormy weather of a sort; possibly gamesmanship? https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/darts/46245993

[QUOTE=BBMmk2;706752]OMG! They in the UK, and ask for a MacDonald’s! The Philistines! ;[QUOTE]

      I agree, BBM!!!

      Not a bad day today!
Beautiful and sunny hereabouts; temperatures are now down to what one would expect them to be at this time of the year - 8 C - but they are expected to carry on falling over the weekend and give us a forthcoming week of cold north-easterlies. Not quite The Beast From The East Returneth, however - not yet!

Foul winds implicated in foul play. Mind you given the kind of food and drink traditionally associated with darts I would have thought it goes with the territory.
Back to the real world... The forecast and the actualite match today and I realised that my original plan to go into the city for exhibitions and to buy a small rug was a bit of a waste of a dry sunny fairly mild day so it's garden business instead. Just finished the coffee break so back to assembling the last raised bed and filling it with the better parts of the compost heap - and hoping the blackbirds don't empty it all out on the grass.

Went for my walk too early today, missed out on the sun.

Jewel of a day here today. Cloudless, strong easterly, brilliant light, and my nicotiana STILL in bloom!

I don't own one no, but neighbours' cats use my garden freely.....which will be another hazard of having done this work.

Newish neighbours with cats in recent years. Less birds visiting the garden, so I think I had better up my consumption of oranges in order to keep the borders policed with the peel.

I hadn't realised that cats find oranges... unapPEELing!

Oh yes, it is not only of use for removing sticky labels.

                          And Bob's your uncle.
We should probably transplant these musings to the garden thread.

Anyway back to the weather the wind seems to be building up here!

Glorious day again here: bright blue sky, early frost on the 'meadow' (patch between my house and the local beck) gone, some golden leaves still on trees.
