Not noticed any blue here today - but it's Summertime tomorrow so blue skies all the way!

...and good news for insomniacs - for one night only one less hour of non-sleeping!

I think we travel on for the sake of it, or at least I do. Keep moving or get foot rot.

Bit of rain yesterday. Had great jamming session yesterday. We all went out for a meal and a race night!

Apologies for being a bearer of bad tidings, but thie coming weekend looks likely to be mostly a cold washout for all, with the possible exception of Sunday, apart from the SW, where rain is expected slowly to roll in during the day before reaching the rest of us to give all a dismal BH Monday. There's even talk of possible widespread snow for that day, affecting Wales, the midlands and NW. In all likelihood we'll have to wait another week for temperatures to rise to what they should by now be, and maybe a tad higher, but I understand the schools are out for the next fortnight, is that right? The "usual suspects" (ie statistics heads) are however noting that poor springs are often followed by lovely summers, as is often the case in reverse.

Well, here, the E / NE wind is whetting its edge.
Fancy we may well be in for a bit of a roar after a sublime couple of days.

I think the SW and Wales could be getting snow on Monday?

What a day yesterday? The rain!!!! Hoping today be better?

I don' think the SW, Bbm. Possibly the higher parts of Dartmoor and Exmoor, but not generally. Wales, the midlands and north more of a probability, with the precipitation zone never reaching further north owing to high pressure blockage to the northwest. Someone in Sainsbury's passed the comment this morning that it must be the Easter Bank Holiday, given as it was cold and wet! - temperatures hereabouts are a degree below what would be expected on Christmas Day

Yep - rain, rain, rain, continuous and almost heavy at times. And the temperature has dropped a degree to just 5 Celsius. A couple more and we'd start to see blobs of snow in the mix. I don't suppose4 that's going to happen, because although the heaviness of the precipitation is what's brought the temperature down, continuing cloud cover overnight should prevent it falling much further. I don't think cloughie should be concerned about snow, though certainly there's quite a bit more rain to come before this ruddy slow-moving low pressure system gets its act together and moves off east.

Yes it's the rain we could do without for a few days!

The gardener came around earlier, and asked me if I thought it would be a good idea for him to do the first lawn mow of the year! He never seems to mind cutting the grass whether it's raining or just wet, notwithstanding the effect in must have on his mower - which at least is powered by petrol and not electricity! I told him that with the likelihood of further prolonged rain over the next 4 days, the only possible outcome would be a lawn full of moss.

Dry here, lots of sun, an edgy NE wind, but it's Spring, flowers / plants looking up and seeing blue skies and sun.
Could get a bit rough this evening into Sunday, but at the mo..........OK for gardening!
