I see from the chart that it was felt across to the outskirts of London,
    Another sunny day down here!
    Don’t cry for me

Can tell it was nowhere near London by the way it seemed to be ignored in the 5.30pm BBC news and mentioned almost in passing in the 10.00pm. A mizzly day here today!

An alarming piece of news about the thinning of the ozone layer above population centres. Does SA have a take on this, please?

Grey here this morning, but not unpleasant.

National forecast spoke of frost and chill for today.
Well, not here - in an upland area to boot - so..........once again, I wearily shrug at the BBC / ITV's national prophecies, and stick to more local and better plotted predictions.

              Thanks anyway.

I avoid very bright sunlight these days and tend to use a kids’ sunscreen.

Looks like we're all set for severe cold weather for early next week onwards, borne on an easterly, which will be strong and well possibly snow-bearing for all regions except the extreme NW, and could possibly extend into March. The signs have been there for some time with frontal systems advancing in from the west and then stalling in the face of strong high pressure to the east acting as a powerful block. This then counteracts the normal tendency for weather systems to "want" to travel eastwards, propelled by the earth's revolving. Normally there are big question marks over this sort of alarm, but unusually all the models are lining up in confirmation, the only details being as to when it's going to start, and, if it will snow, how much and where. Apparently it's all down to what they call stratospheric warming, though how this comes to impact is way above my head, I'm afraid.
