Thunderstorms, just over an hour ago here, brought the temperature down from a pleasant if breezy 19 C to a chilly 12 C in a blustery matter of minutes. I popped out for some shopping, only to pop straight back in and, as they say, get me coat!

Managed to fit in a couple of sets of tennis before the rain came here in N Wilts. Cold breeze and not very summery. Arrived home to catch the end of the Resurrection.
Very windy down here, in exposed areas. Especially at Sheffield Park Gardens, near where I live.
They have this lake there, dating from the 18th Century, where they need £24,000 to restore it. This money is continually being donated and the work can carry on. Should look very good when completed.

Had a great day in Eastbourne for Bourne Air. My son has a grand stand view from hiss flat! The weather was rather good, until about tea time, after the show was over. Traffic was chocca! Ah well, to0 be expected! Now rain!

Disappointing weather while down in London over the weekend, somewhat at odds with what was forecast. Whatever sunshine there was turned out to be ruined by a chill wind which, for some reason, was blowing with considerable force outside the Royal Albert Hall. Temperatures were down as a result and last night in the hall for Gurrelieder was the only time in 40 years of Prom going that, despite the TV lights, I actually felt cold.
Things look like picking up a touch on Tuesday but too late to salvage one of the worst Augusts I can remember, and I can remember a few bad ones.
Rather a frustrating day yesterday. I was at my son's place, and saw Bourneair 2017. It was my cataracts that was getting in the way. Not being able to see quite a lot of the show. Quite upsetting really.

A new and not wholly welcome treat to come: what was a tropical storm this morning, a severe tropical storm at lunchtime and is now a full-blown typhoon (if I can be excused the pun), due to arrive in Hong Kong tomorrow morning. Not quite sure why it should be called Typhoon Hato but my hotel room on the 35th floor ought to give me a good view. The sky certainly looks very menacing. 37 degrees C yesterday - just a bit too hot for any comfort at all.

I think I would be scared sh*tless in any such situation, HD.
Here the remnants of Hurricane somebody-or-other is just bringing calm cloudiness and enough humidity to cut through with a pair of scissors! What a waste of temperatures above the normal for the time of year, which have become something of a rarity this past month here.
