I am beginning to feel like a large mushroom - parasol fungus, perhaps?

Please don't move this to the Refreshment Room.

What you probably need is a humorous sort of a male friend - in other words a fungi!

In this dreary weather, any friend is welcome, funny or otherwise.

Wickham Festival this week. Please just a few sunny dry warm days ? S_A ?
This years excellent line up ( although that applies every year) deserves it.
Still, tent pegs should go in easily enough after yesterdays deluge.

Despite gloomy forecasts the weather turned out to becremarkably good today with a fair amount of sun and lack of rain, here down west. Saturday was dreadful however? and tomorrow who knows?

Tent pegs also come out rather more easily from muddy ground, teamy! I'm afraid I can't guarantee a single completely fine day this week, though there will be sunny periods on each day. Apparently there are signs of warmer more settled weather after the coming 7 day period.

Well, oop 'ere, fierce showers every 30 minutes roaring down on the roof, waking us in the night.
                  And it is NOT warm.

Very windy here, yesterday. Quite biting too.

I've haven't been out yet - hope it isn't too windy here at 12.30pm - heading for the aerodrome.

Well................the weather kept ok, sunny and breezy for my first two flights in a glider - views from Wembley to Beachy Head - and I loved it.

Get far more anxious in urban areas and sitting on a crowded train.

He was very knowledgeable and ended by saying "man has wanted to fly like a bird since the start of time - aren't we lucky to be in the right era".

Couldn't have had a better guide if I had picked out a person myself.

Bbm, I walked there.... luckily only about 20 minutes from home but my leg has gone weird in the last two weeks.

Given what you have said about walking difficulties, it struck me that it's a great experience for anyone with those.

Well, I have had these things in and out of my life. Periods of weird coordination. Not too concerned at present. If it all goes really pear shaped, I will take more to the air and water.

Anyhow, it's a lovely sunny, breezy day here just north of the north downs.

How wonderful - and how brave! Gliders and helicopters - wild horses on their bended knees . . . Fixed wing and one or two engines up front for me, please! :-)

Thank you, that's very kind, but it was really surprising on all counts - it really didn't feel unsafe, perhaps because I didn't google anything to make me think it might be and duck out.

That's speaking as someone who didn't get in a standard passenger aircraft until 30 and then only when forced into it by work.
