Yes, other people I know are saying about how they are still having harvests from their garden, as well.

Not a bad day, today. Cloudy, with maybe a shower, this morning, around 09:00 am, according to Alexa!

        Don't you love it?
BBC forecast this a.m. for NW? - air coming up from SW, from Sahara etc, temps reasonable.
Ok - now for the reality:
just been shopping in stiff North-Easterly with heavy rain on it. And jolly cold too. Temp 9C

I've picked several pounds of ripened figs in the last week, normally they'd have failed to mature and fallen off in the cold weather.

On and off, yes, and windy at times as well. Big temperature drop apparent today after yesterday's maximum of 21C in favoured parts of London, just on 60F in the old money at midday: I was glad to have acted on the forecast yesterday to undertake a 16-mile cycle round trip, taking in the more scenic parts of SE London before the heavier leaf falls to come make cycling more treacherous. Surprosingly small numbers of walkers and cyclists out and about, though the Faith Café in Ladywell Park was busy. Don't think I'll be seeing people out in T-shirts again for some time, unless they're Geordies, of course! Popped in for a few hours on a mate in Camberwell, forgetting that it gets nearly dark by six (five now!) and hadn't brought my front light. One can take greater precautions, and the rear one is arguably the more important for traffic coming from behind, but still....

I was in Theydon Bois yesterday and it was around 20°C in the afternoon, the sun was shining and it felt like summer again. It was very hot on the tube on my way back to Kings Cross. When I got home, Heather told me it had rained solidly until about 4pm and been dull for the rest of the day. It was also significantly colder than Theydon Bois!

I also had a splendid day with my fellow shell collectors so, all in all, a marvellous day
                Best regards,
                Jonathan

Almost a cinematic biblical Good Friday here: really dark and teeming down.
No thunder and lightning though, so the curtains probably won't be rent in twain!

Checking right now, there is lightning and thunder not far to your SW - could well be coming your way!

                      Indeed!
                      I spoke/wrote too soon.
Tremendous flash just as I posted.
Curtains still in one piece though.

Nice weather East of The Pennines this morning and early afternoon. A splendid day to visit the Hymalayan Garden and Sculpture Park

Disappointing lack of thunder here! We had an hour or two of heavyish rain and dark clouds but it turned sunny after that, and it's sunny now.
