Now 21C here with just over a half skyfull of cumulus and stratocumulus as a weak front passes by.
Earlier it was sunny and the temperature topped 23C - meanwhile, while I should have been out enjoying it, I was stuck indoors darning holes in a much loved rug given to me at age 9 by an aunt (my mother's sister). At one end the fronds are still extant, but not at the other, which had become so frayed I just took a pair of sharp scissors and cut 3 inches away in a straight line. At some point - not this week as I don't want to waste a good few days of decent weather before it gets hot once more - I intend turning that end over and stitching along to make a new hem. It will take time, as I don't own a sewing machine.

Going to be a good manageable day today, temperature wise.Don’t cry for me

There's talk of a potentially long heatwave starting up after this weekend; posters on UKweatherweb are beginning to worry about reservoir water levels etc.

We've been away on the Isle of Man for the last week, the weather there was a mixture of sunshine and cloud. However, there was an everpresent breeze which bordered on the gale force side from time to time! That said, we got sunburnt at Port Erin a week ago, sitting on the beach at 6.30pm. Wish I was still there as it's back to work tomorrowBest regards,
Jonathan

Quite nice temperature here at the moment. I like this weather and this month is pretty much the only one that I can guarantee not getting eczema.
