    Not a bad day today.

A week in meteorology is a long time, to coin a phrase, but things are looking quite optimistic for the bank holiday weekend.

Brilliant sunshine here at the moment, temps still below average following another cold night, but the exceptionally clear visibility, indicating the dryness of the air, should easily dry my washing by the end of the afternoon. Right now I am feeling a great surge of relief following success with the latest of 3 different sink unblocking agents, bought yesterday, which latter cost me under £6. There seems to be a lot of useless product on sale at the moment - clues lying in the lack of advice on the label concerning care with handling - (I really should have spotted this) - lack of any odour, let alone toxic fumes issuing from the bottle, and dodgy comments from the pair who have taken over that particular hardware shop from the lovely Indian couple who had retired, to the effect of "Well everybody else is telling us this particular product works wonders" !

Still trying to find a sink unblocking agent here too. I've tried a couple, both of which were useless, but perhaps a stick of dynamite will clear it?

A plunger usually does the trick for me, loosens what’s there. I’ve also on occasions unscrewed the cup on the u bend but one time that left me with a leak around the screw bit which meant I had to use a container to collect the leaky bits - eventually it stopped dripping! Also ‘Plughole Unblocker’ has been successful. I suppose it’s whatever workks best for you.

                Poundland's is worth a try:

Cheap enough to have a few in the bathroom cupboard for regular use in our washbasins to clear the shaving soap gunge and in the en-suite shower.

Very nice today. Very nice smelling and seeing the blossom.

The big catch-up is now underway after everything has been stuck on hold due to sub-average temperatures for the past week, with wood anemones flowering in profusion in the local woodland - bluebells are out in sheltered garden niches but not as yet in the woods.

Frost suddenly came just before dawn, and is shown as having been quite a hard one at the recording station, but here fortunately it wasn't too bad and only took minimal clearing before I set off to work at 8-00am. Sun just about all day and minimal breeze made for it very pleasant, although such breeze as there was felt quite chill despite being SW. At work the site was very much in spring dress, blossom birds and bees everywhere, the visitors were enjoying the fine weather and holiday activities and the farm has seasonal lambs and chicks, always a draw.

I’m not going to say anything about the weather, today, because, we are going to Lewes, E.Sx, to choose a new mobility scooter!

Blustery with a couple of rumbles of thunder and odd heavy shower.

Yes! - saw that on UKww; it's creeping slowly this way in declining form, before being expected to pep up again tonight and tomorrow - saw the elevated convection in the west this morning, my favourite kind of weather! Temperature now around 16C with a moderate SEerly, with winds expected from that quarter for the remainder of the week, ensuring above-average temperatures, and probably sandy deposits in any rainfall.

Yes, it's currently tipping it down. I would postpone my walk, but I need to hand in a prescription for my local drug-dealer AKA the pharmacy.
