        Uninspiring day, I think.

You said that yesterday, BBM! But you've got it right this time. As is said, a stopped clock is always right two times a day!

In fact yesterday I enjoyed my first long cycle ride of 2022, bragging on my return that I'd done 12 miles. It actually was 17 miles. If I didn't have a stiff neck today I'd be patting myself on the back.

Gosh! I'm advised by my server that Ukweatherworld, the site I've been visiting for several years as the national meteorological equivalent of our own forum for informed opinion, exchanges of views, and news about weather matters is down for a security warning!

It may have something to do with their franchise having run out, they suggest. At any rate, I think I'll leave it for a few days and then see if anything's been sorted out.

Not the warmest at 8C with breeze but a very pleasant sunny day.

Been rather a dull and uninspiring day, today.

Quite a raw northerly today - drizzle at times, maximum temperature only 6 Celsius - 3 below average for early March. The next few days don't look much better either.

Grey, cold and various forms of wet for most of the day. Lights on all day and a struggle to motivate myself to get out even for a brief walk. Fortunately there were a couple of items I needed in town so that helped; wet going in but cleared up to clingy dampness by the time I came back at about 4 pm. Should be dry tomorrow but varying permutations of northerly/easterly airflow will do nothing helpful on the temperature front.

Nice day here today. Breezy and cool, but with some sunshine allowed through by white cloud. A stark contrast to yesterday when we were due to meet friends for 7 mile circular walk around and along Hole of Horcum. In the end we just spent two hours over lunch in The Lion Inn, Blakey Ridge and then went our separate ways, without a walk - shame!

Must be a decent Spring day because flocks of determined bikers are sweeping up and along roads to the moorland tops for their Sunday thrill.

Better than expected today. It's dry with rather a blustery breeze which is keeping things a bit chilly but there are good glimpses of sunshine and a few shreds of blue sky which all help to lift the spirits. I've managed to get a rather daunting job in the garden completed (taking out a phormium which wasn't the dwarf it was supposed to be) and done some weeding and tidying. The small birds are happy and one of the borders now looks much better - I can enjoy the early small flowers without grimacing at the weeds!

Very chilly wind here. Otherwise cloud.

A cold day of wind and funny intervals, as me old mum would say. Now you all know who I got it from! Residents have been remarking on the yellow patch left in the grass onto which the Leylandii fell. Coniferous trees are notorious for de-fertilizing soils underneath them - hence the lack of undergrowth in coniferous plantations.

Absolutely gorgeous day here today. Went for a walk round the loch. Brilliant sunny wintry landscape with curlews and oystercatchers providing the soundtrack. Weather to lift the spirit.
