Looks like being a truly dreadful day here tomorrow. Presently bright with little wind but not warm at all, especially indoors where it feels distinctly cold. Heating on and off all day.

Been a really good day here today - bright sun, blue sky, very little breeze - can’t believe what we’re in for tomorrow but will when it arrives!

Coldest April since 1922. Third coldest since records began in 1884.https://www.gazetteandherald.co.uk/n...---met-office/

Some will say, what does this say about global warming? What it says is that if somewhere, like here, is getting colder, then somewhere else is getting a darn sight warmer!

Will today be a good day?!?!? I hope so, after yesterday’s downpour!

No. Another downpour predicted. Hat and gloves required on short cycling jaunt squeezed in before this afternoon's impending wind and rain.

Tipping it down - I thought it would, so I went on an early walk while it was still dry.

Washing now wetter than when I hung it out earlier, but I decided that I wasn't going to get wet too in the process of bringing it in!
Should have looked at the forecast.

Ditto to all of that! In addition, it's my mother's 91st birthday today so a trip down to the cemetery in pouring rain and howling gale couldn't be put off.

I know I should take care what I wish for but now the wind has got up I’d like the rain to go with it.

After a couple of false starts some rain has arrived. The amount isn't impressive in total but the awful wind(cold despite the direction) is making it seem more than it is. Might be more rain over the next few hours but the wind is going to be a problem, and volunteer gardening tomorrow looks as if it could be somewhat challenging. Don't suppose we'll have to worry about keeping our distance from visitors...

I hope you have it well pegged down - or that you did!!

(I can remember one gale in Bristol when my washing ended up a hundred metres up the road, in someone else's back garden!)

Still thrashing it down here, as it has been doing since before lunch. Very dark and very windy. What month is it again?
