The cold front passed through in the last couple of hours here, with less wind and rain than I'd been led to expect, but a drop from 13 C at noon to 9 C now. Predictions are being made for temperatures widely in the low 20s next Tuesday across southern England, and pretty warm elsewhere, but another big fall by the Easter weekend, which is, sadly, a strangely common occurrence, climate change notwithstanding.

I was right about the tornadoes Stateside - terrible destruction, substantially built houses reduced to the appearance of Cubist sculptures, eight deaths, so far.

Mixed bag here all the way. Having our second hail-storm now, before that it was sunny...

Notably colder now, despite sunnyish skies.
Wind rising. Looks like some nastiness ahead?

............and sure enough, out on a bit of a walk and had sleet flurries!! On a tough cold S.Westerly!

The temperature dropped markedly during the afternoon especially once the rain arrived. Although it had stopped raining by the time I went out for some fish and chips at 6 it was perishing cold and seeing the queue I did think about changing my mind. The forecast for tonight suggests that the windchill will take it down to well under zero.

Make the most of the first part of the coming week, is the recommendation, for after that high pressure builds up from the north-west, sucking cold arctic air down across the whole country from Thursday onwards. Record-breaking March temps seem not to be on the cards, but Tuesday's and Wednesday's are widely expected to get into the low 20s celsius, as continental tropical air advects north from Morocco.

Windy, dry, grey, not unpleasant but no sun, but a good Sunday lunch and pleasant couple of glasses of wine. A good day!

Non-stop overnight and all day today, torrential rain driven by bashing westerly up here.
Sort of rain that when you look at the window you think it must have stopped because you can see uninterrupted through the glass, but closer to, you realise the rain is being blatted SO hard and so thick, it's just running down in unchecked streams,

Don’t know what the weather’s going to do today. Sunny intervals, I’d hazard a guess?

The strong winds here are going to keep temperatures down, but even so it will be milder than of late which is welcome. the sun might be fitful, certainly at first but at least it is there, and is set to be more evident later in the day.
An interesting sight during the night as broken cloud cover looking like lumps of detergent foam travelled at speed across the sky, artistically lit by the moon - all shades of silvery and pearly grey and very beautiful.

Weather looking good for meeting ‘rule of 6’ friends in garden - even some singing practice.

Indeed. I think this is so where complacency might come up.

A good day here, as well.

Pretty well near perfect Spring day up here - which after the shocking, torrential w/end is highly energising!

Yep - 17 C in the shade already - 4 up on yesterday, so it could max out at 22 C this afternoon. Touselled cirrus to the NW the only cloud to be seen. Make the most of today and tomorrow - I'll be out on the bike.

... minus 17 down there! I had not thought Crystal Palace to be quite so arctic
