Baring a few small showers of rain, sleet or hail it looks from present observations like you're largely in the clear until Monday, when the next batch of snow-preceded rain blows in from the WSW. Sunday's snow, should it occur, looks set to skirt round to your south, assuming they've got their co-ordinates right!

Here we go for the cold snap. A heavy frost this morning. I’m very surprised to see it, as we have had a lot of wet weather lately.

Should be dry and sunny all day but cold. Heartening to see that the mornings are getting earlier so to speak. I was up at about 6-45 and the eastern sky was showing lightness rather than darkness although the sun wasn't above the horizon.

Beautiful day here: bright and sunny, though a fairly chilly breeze.
But the house is warm enough (at present), with the sun streaming in, to have a window open and some fresh air in (to help clear the smell of paint, as we've been having some decorating done).

Glorious winter morning here, after quite a hard frost.
Perfect for a mind - clearing long run through the woods.
Sports fans among you may be excited to know that this week I have both equalled my best ever 5k time, and did my longest ever run this morning. Go me !!

It got all cloudy and showery this afternoon, by the way.

Looks like snow on sunday morning........

Looks rather uninspiring at the moment. MrsBBM has one of her snowheadaches. Hmmmm.

The forecast overnight rain post midnight turned out to be snow. I was awake at 1-30 and it was falling quite thickly and evidently had been for some time judging by the coverage. It eased off and had stopped by about 2-00. Now it's just uniform greyness, the kind where it could be anytime of day. Conditions underfoot will be treacherous so I'm glad I got shopping done yesterday - which was glorious weather - what a contrast.

Utterly weird: this a.m. ? NO snow, NO frost, pavements bone DRY - first time in weeks, v.low cloud, fell tops in whiteout. Hmm................

Frozen snow and ice here - didn't walk as far as usual, but took almost as long as usual.

Sometimes best just to seize the good bits and not wonder why? I think you deserve a break - well actually weatherwise I think that's the case most of the time!
