Fine, still and sunny here. Washing is out but probably won't fully dry in high humidity. Just responded via Whatsapp as a last minute fill-in - with three ladies - for a tennis four at 12.

Bright, sunny, but cold (-3C, my phone tells me) here.

A lovely winter dawn today - orange-gold orb coming up behind skeleton tree tracery and picking out the thick white frost layer on fields and roofs. Blue sky and sun expected for most of the day - and perishing cold. My outdoor thermometer has got confused and was reading -5 on the Max scale and 0 on the minimum! Putting the cover down on the woodstore where it hangs makes it a bit more unreliable than usual I suspect. I've pulled the cover back to get some air flow through again until such time as rain comes from the 'wrong' direction again, which is the only reason it was down in the first place.
I need to do some food shopping but it will be a careful, and slow, walk into town as there will be many patches of ice that will stay through the day.

What a pleasant walk that was. Something of a winter wonderland with frost sparkling in the sun, completely cloudless and windless.

Minus 3 here last night, making for a month of slightly below average nighttime minima for the first time this year. It's still only just above freezing as I write, on the point of fulfilling a promised afternoon walk with a good friend, over in Camberwell. Very dull with poor viz - we ain't going to see no views, I don't think!

Bobble hat on head, thick scarf around neck and face, lights on bike... Ready teddy go.

The mist started rolling in across the fields at lunchtime so I'm glad I got out when I did to make the most of sun and blue sky and little wind to make it even colder.

Walked p.m. before roads etcetc re-froze. Huh......made little difference - still had to skid and skate in places. BUT air fresh, light fine, sunset spectacular.
