Looking at the forecast I brought my bike ride forward. Bracing wind. Got back back just as light rain reached N Wilts.

Sorry Draco, it's sun and blue sky here - rather breezy but not cold. I need to get out in the garden now as I see that tomorrow is not looking at all inviting. Mind you, as always, news from a family member in NW Scotland puts things in perspective. Restrictions on meeting others have eased slightly to enable meeting several others(up to 8 I think) from up to 3 households outside, however they are today expecting floods, the wind is up to 50 mph and going round to the North and tomorrow sleet is forecast with snow on the tops...

"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

Has anyone else noticed that the Fisherman's Friend-sponsored weather forecasts on CH5 never offer temperatures? I wonder - why might this be? Are they involved in costly lawsuits to stop themselves being made to name-change to Fisherpeople's Friend that would make paying for temperatures from the Met or wherever would be too expensive? Or could it be that in this rush-rush age, knowing what the temperature is going to be would amount to TOO MUCH INFORMATION for our jostled brains/lifestyles to cope with? And, "Sorry, we're out of time"? I don't know about anybody else, but saying "it's going to be warm today" is not good enough: what is warm to this woman won't be warm to that man, etc etc.
