Yes - the weather is closing in now with a few advance spots of rain, following a quite pleasant warmish morning here, temperatures up to 18 C. The weekend still looks pretty awful, though not quite as bad as some models were predicting the day before yesterday. The main problems to anticipate are now rain rather than exceptionally strong winds.

Yesterday was not nice, and NAF, being drizzle that got heavier through the morning and early afternoon when it was supposed to be dry and overcast - not at all helpful for the part team of volunteer gardeners on their first day back on site for 6 months. I was lucky in being in the second group and allocated today, which has been mild, dry and sunny. Not looking forward to the weekend - I'll make sure that I've got all my shopping etc done tomorrow as although it may be wet, depending on how the rain moves across the region later on today and through the night, it shouldn't be windy as well.

The reduction of rain falling right now to drizzle offers the one opportunity to do my weekly grocery shop. Otherwise it's not looking good for the remainder of the weekend, with yellow warnings of heavy rain for the region.
