Cloudy, 18°, breezy. Can't remember the last time there wasn't any wind.

Wild, wet and windy today. Horrid!

I have a feeling that we are about to get the wildness and more than just the drizzle the day has turned into. Ho hum!

There has been rain most of the afternoon, a real novelty. It hasn't been heavy but the wind has been picking up so the effect has been greater than might otherwise be the case in terms of getting wet rather quickly.

I would have thought that something that lives off something else without giving anything of benefit in return could be described as a parasite; but there again, I'm not scientifically educated!

Dull and a breeze coming through, which is always good.

This particular 74+ cyclist took advantage of quite possibly the last decent weather for some time to come to undertake a 12-mile round trip on the bike. Tomorrow promises to be very windy, even in this neck of the woods, so some premature leaf fall is to be expected. The autumn tints will start to appear in the next couple of weeks. Streatham Common was looking especially beautiful just now, with its dappled sunshine-shaded semi-natural woodland areas, and long distance views to the south and west; and, I dare say, I probably inhaled quite a lot of illegal substances on the return journey through Brixton: I nonchalantly allowed someone to queue jump me in Tescos because he had a Tescos logo on his gilet jaune; and I am feeling most relaxed at the moment!

You may pass our daughter who lives in Streatham and frequently crosses the Common on her bike (Brompton fold-up)

Good westerly near-gale in E Cornwall for most of the day though still dry. Must be rather humid because the excellent drying wind hasn't been as excellent as I'd expected
I keep hitting the Escape key, but I'm still here!

Up here too, surprisingly humid even this late in the evening, and with a southerly breeze. Hmm.

Very pleasant late afternoon sunshine for a gentle jog this afternoon.
Felt a bit humid here too and small insects getting in the nose and throat are a definite issue for runners at the moment.

Looks like drumming up a storm here - wind speeds on the rise and possibly thundery showers on the way.
