A succession of big, heavy black clouds from which virtually no rain has fallen.

Quite a downpour here just now, so I guess those clouds must have been postponing their event until they got here!

Nothing of importance to report, except to say that the changeable rather cool weather everywhere is set to continue for the time being.

I find it quite agreeable (except for the rain).

Mirrors the political situation - a great deal of posturing to no useful end.
Cool and overcast here this morning, tried to rain early afternoon and didn't succeed, then turned overcast again, with episodes of black clouds to taunt.
The hoses will need to be linked up again to fill the water butt at the end of the garden for the peas, beans and salads, as there's no prospect of anything useful from above.

Cloud up here OK..with plenty of rain, and fells gradually disappearing in said clouds.

Well I have to say it looks like turning thundery here - great big splatters of rain as I was panting my way up Gypsy Hill just now; and visible an estimated 20 miles to the NNE a huge cauliflour-like cumulus congestus on the point of turning into an atom bomb cloud cumulimbus: all of which marks a convergence zone between warm very humid air which is currently over us, and cooler sub-arctic air advancing across the Midlands from the north, all set to trundle slowly south. This afternoon looks like a repeat of yesterday, but with more intense, and probably thundery downpours this afternoon, with temperatures tumbling. Like yesterday, anyone just north of the SE region may have got away with it.

17C here in N Wilts. Washing is on the line. Not the best day for it but breezy so it should dry between showers.

We didn't get away with it! Thundery squall with heavy rain has just scooted off into the North Sea.

Yes it all kicked off a little further north and earlier than I'd supposed. There's another lot heading across Yorkshire way.
