            Just as well
The solar-powered automatic greenhouse watering thing that I made is working well and we have courgettes and lots of greens....

Grey sky delivering varying amounts of wet. On the plus side it's not accompanied by the levels of wind activity we've so frequently had, and the direction means it's not as cold as might be. Today's shopping trip was by car so the rain not a problem.

I've just been talking to a friend in Stowmarket, where it's raining steadily - just a few raindrops on the window here (at the moment).

The weather map for East Anglia is uniformly blue with yellow and khaki highlights so I suspect you will get at least some of it at some point as it continues its journey east!

Light rain has ceased, at least for the moment. 1.5 mm so far today.

There seems to be a gap in the rain clouds between now and midday so shopping needs to be done soon. A wander down the garden a few minutes ago felt a tad warmer than I had expected, perhaps because the wind is reasonably light. Now the wet has soaked well into the ground the mole activity has started up again in earnest - good that the worms are evidently active again but not so good to find veg plants hanging in the void of a tunnel or toppled over. It's at such times that the beds get walked over(or otherwise pushed down) firmly although in theory they shouldn't get such treatment, and when the traditional straight rows approach has the advantage over my less regimented methods.
