Up here, the outset cruel wintry day is ending in still air, and cloudless, brilliant light. Ahem.
Where next?
Slow warm-up by the weekend, though the "experts" aren't quite sure about that. Much of today's forecasting is done by modelling, in part on the basis of past precedent. Today's climate change is making rather a dog's dinner of relying on precedent, however, and they're having to sometimes resort to the wetness or otherwise of the dog's nose, and other old nose-trums...
Much pleasanter today, due mostly I think to the wind being less in evidence. It's still chilly in the shade but warm in sunny sheltered spots. It got down to 0 last night. A good drying day for the washing.
Much calmer today, as noted by other people here - otherwise much the same kind of weather, a good 5 degs C below what one might expect in mid-May; and in parts of Surrey it reportedly fell to MINUS 2 C last night.
Coat on for my cycle trip to the shops in a minute...
I think the weather should warm up again. Although, a bit on the cold side recently, it’s been sunny, if a tad blustery! Bit like in AA Milne’s Winnie the Pooh!

No rain forecast here for another WEEK - which means we have had no rain for nearly THREE weeks, and then on;y a dribble. Farmers desperate.
I mean...in MAY???

Well, May can go either way.
(And although you may not know it, I am not a poet).
I didn’t go outside yesterday it I saw it was cold with what people were wearing. I hope it will be warmer today, so that I can wonder around my patch!
