It's proper warm here today, and even the breeze, although easterly, feels warm. The sky is mostly blue but there is a noticeable layer of murk where it joins the horizon; not entirely unexpected here given the dry conditions combined with wind, and farming activities in bare fields. The air pollution levels are shown as medium, and pollen as high - but I don't have to see that on the forecast to know!
A marked increase in air traffic the past few days, mostly commercial from what I can see and not hear (lack of military jet noise), and resulting contrails. The full moon last night was underscored in dramatic fashion for a while by two parallel trails. It all seems to be high level and heading east.

Well it reached 21C here on south London's "mountain", so it would usually have been 2-3 degs higher in the centre.

Another really warm day for early April in store, with a slight breeze to temper it. The atmosphere is still rather "thick", however, with visibility restricted to 6 miles: I can't see anything beyond the London Eye from here. Could these be signs of a hot summer to come, I am wondering?

Yes, not even a cloud in the sky here so far today! And some of the low-level pollution has cleared today, and so, although last night was one degree colder than the previous, temperatures had reached 18.5 by noon and are quite likely to exceed yesterday afternoon's 21 C. Apparently N Wales should be on the lookout for a possible heavy shower or thunderstorm this evening.
