It's sunny and bright with the added bonus of actually feeling mild to warm - not something that has happened all that much in these parts recently. It does mean that the watering can is going to be seeing action today and for the next few days by the looks of the forecast. The gravel trays I had put to one side to pass on to a colleague at work who has a new greenhouse will be put to use for the overwintered hosta and lavender seedlings in module trays, since they won't be going anywhere soon. I have other trays but they need removing from a stack of 'stuff' at the end of the garden and cleaning - easier to use the clean ones by the back door!
Could I make a small plea, that posters complete their Location? Without this their weather news is rather meaningless. It doesn't have to be very precise: even 'SW England' or whatever is a lot better than nothing!
In detail, go to Forum front page, click on My Profile at top R, then on About Me and complete the Location bit how you like. Pretty-please! Then that info will appear at top R on all your posts, simples
Grey, sort of warmer here in NW, but............erm...fine weather / blue skies it ain't. BUT if that keeps the hordes of self-revealing tourists/ mid-age to old age bikers / visiting dog-walkers off the tracks here, then well and good.
I know that sounds grumpy, but last w/end was a bit of a nasty surprise in prettier NW areas.

Just for you as you asked so nicely! My default setting is to provide as little personal detail as I can, hence that not being completed. Occasional references to location are not very helpful, I appreciate that.
Today my hunter-gatherer expedition didn't need a jacket or coat, which was a welcome change, but sunless pockets exposed to the wind were a tad chilly.
Brilliant blue sky and strong sunshine but a chilly breeze. The local webcams show only a few individuals or couples out for a walk. My location can always be found immediately under the post number.

It was for precisely this reason I decided to fill out where I live a while ago!

Many thanks oddoneout, and anyone else who heard the call!
Pretty chilly in the strong SE wind here, even in the sun. But it could be so-o-o much worse
I keep hitting the Escape key, but I'm still here!
Pleasantly sunny and breezy here in N Wilts for my daily bike circuit. I try to find a slightly different route each time and even find bits of our smalllish town I didn't know existed. Spooky yesterday at Friday afternoon peak time to go to a nearby M4 bridge and find it almost empty except for lorries.
Clear atmosphere - well to all appearances! - and lovely conditions for a "quick" 14-mile cycle before lunch. Pollen levels are supposed to be high today, however, and I am hoping this to be the cause of my bunged up nasal passages and dry throat, and not..... Anyway, was able to spend a couple of hours sunbathing this afternoon, after giving the "winter dressing gown" a hand wash and spread-eagling it out on the washing line to dry - which it hasn't!
Forecast-wise, it looks as though when the cold front out to the west moves through later tomorrow as a weakening feature, it will not bring about any significant drop in temperatures, which look set to remain in the warm category right through next week.
Thanks to a bad night sleep-wise, I was standing on the back doorstep at 5 am admiring the stars and the developing colour in the sky where it met the horizon. I'd already clocked an aircraft over to the south - flashing light and aural confirmation - but then was puzzled by a succession of bright, unflashing, bright white star-like lights passing overhead going almost due east. I saw 6 or 8, and they disappeared from sight quite quickly(before the horizon) as they got to the dawn-brightened part of the sky. Any suggestions?
Back on topic - it was noticeably mild even at that time, and at 7-45am when I put out some waste into the compost caddy the thermometer showed 15 degrees - considerably warmer than it has been many days recently even in the sun. On the downside(well partly since heaven knows we could do with some rain) the forecast rain has come sooner than forecast, it is now drizzling slightly with the prospect of heavier in due course so plans for hanging out the washing will have to be delayed to see if the afternoon is brighter as promised.
