Perhaps will get a pre Christmas miracle tomorrowI will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.

Grim weather for a grim day. I'm glad I manged to get out reasonably early. About 11-30 the rain started to make itself known and since then it has been getting steadily windier and wetter. There was quite a heavy frost last night - when I looked out the window about 5 am I thought at first, in my less than awake state, that it had snowed, as the moon illuminated the white crust on shed roofs. It was quite quick to clear fortunately, although that of course was the reason for the wet.
Talking of the moon, portents are not good some would say, with a full moon tonight and Friday 13th tomorrow.
For now I'm just grateful to have a warm house to hunker down in and lights to banish the exterior gloom - the gloom in my head is a bit more difficult.

They are to that extent volunteers but they do I believe get paid something for their trouble
Don't know if now being a party member and actually campaigning a bit this time round would have disqualified me?I keep hitting the Escape key, but I'm still here!
