No sun but no rain and little breeze, forecast not good though.

Slightly O/T in that it relates to climate, rather than weather, but how about charging 4 times the VAT rate applied to Coal when it comes to Solar, energy storage and bioenergy? Seems a great way of dealing with climate change, no? Well, if no, then you might want to put your name to this: https://you.38degrees.org.uk/petitio...June%20edition .
I don't think it can reasonably be called a party-political issue, as such.

In the current scheme of things today hasn't been too bad. This morning was without rain, not too windy, but still cold. At lunchtime the rain started again as per forecast, but pretty half-hearted, and the temperature lifted slightly - an increase from just into double figures(much of yesterday and this morning) to about 15. Sadly it's now downhill apparently for most of the next 24 hours.

Steady light to moderate rain has now been falling for about 3 hours here, and it will be interesting to see who is right. The BBC forecast predicts thunderstorms from about teatime to rush hour time, clearing to the NW by 9 pm, and a yellow warning for the whole SE - I think they actually meant thundery rain ather than proper clear-cut storms, but never mind - while Tony, on UKweatherworld, who is seldom wrong and usually pinpoint accurate, claims that the current thundery conditions along the south coast will die out instead of moving this way.
On lightningmaps I'm now seeing small clusters of frequent lightning around the "base" of the Cherbourg peninsula and Paris, and a line down the centre of Germany, roughly where the old Irron Curtain used to be, once more getting absolutely clobbered by lightning and, presumably, huge rainfalls from that "stuck" cold front.

No longer taking seriously the BBC weather - hopelessly optimistic.

Less rain and more breaks between showers today, also feeling just a tad less cold. The sky is still completely overcast but the cloud is much higher and the light levels higher which, failing actual sun, is a move in the right direction; I've only needed some task lighting rather than having to have the room lights on all day.
