Well, arrived in Hyde Park with one or two others, furled up the little plastic flag and decided to stay under a tree rather than listen to the Leader’s address..back on the bus in the rain in rather a good mood.

Well good for you Holly! "One" didn't know about this event until it was mentioned on the "Marred" show, by which time it was too late and I was doing my laundry! Nothing was mentioned on the Left of Centre website, & 38 Degrees doesn't publicise demos.

We're probably both on on MI5 database for admitting all this!

Nonedescript weather for most all this week, so I'm refraining from offering any boring details. Good times for planting out and getting rid of dead and damaged plants, like the brown-leafed palm the gardener found abandoned last autumn, which either belatedly gave up following the cold winds to which it was exposed in March, or after I dosed it with an organic fertiliser 3 days ago!

Very nice weather. Sunny and not too warm. We went to the nurseries and bought bedding plants. I have planted most of them, coming in to fill up the watering can with the radio on in the background. Aston Villa v Middlesbrough seems to have been on for three hours with the latter hoping somehow to get into the Premier League by scoring no goals. How very Pulis.

More like a normal, run-of-the-mill early summer day today: breezy with intermittent weak sun.

For a minute there I was reminded of a Mediterranean shore...

Hay fever not bad today. Those tablets I'm taking must be kicking in now. Went for another preamble down town yesterday. Quite warm, when it wasn't windy.

Nearly forgot to take my statin just now, so thanks for the reminder, Bbm!

After almost five years of domination by stomach upsets and sociopathic tendencies associated therewith, I am only now advised that making sure to take them at the same time very day will regularise my bodily functions, and thus help minimise said problems. So far - day 3 - success, so let's see...

Cloudy and cool today, after yesterday's warmth, which allowed me to sunbathe until 7 pm - pretty amazing this early in the year. Under so-called "global warming" conditions I'd been getting used to the idea of summers being restricted to between halfway through June and halfway through August - nine weeks that always seem all too quickly to rush by.

Distinctly parky here today - or perhaps that should be parka....Grey sky and a strong wind from the cold quarter are keeping temperatures well under 10. The gardening session today wasn't as enjoyable as usual thanks to the cold and the dust - there has been no rain to dampen the soil and stop the fields from blowing. Never mind, those visitors that were about were appreciative of the gardens and that's all that really matters.

Yes, rather like that here, yesterday, especially when the wind was up.

Not bad hayfever today. Yes! Max 17C, sunny intervals and breezy. Probably similar to yesterday then!

Only 15 C here at the mo despite brilliant sunshine and little cloud: something of a northerly keeping temperatures off the N Sea down, and a tad too breezy for a decent outing on the bike, though things look set for improvements from now until Tuesday, when there are signs of a thundery break, especially down here, and it will get quite warm again, lasting almost to the end of the month.

Heavens above, actually a bit SULTRY up here! Well, it was.........................
Which, given the temp 36 hrs ago, is a miracle. My poor garden doesn't know what the heck is going on.

Remained chilly here although the appearance of the sun late afternoon did make for a nice warm drive home at the end of the day. Tending seedlings is proving tricky - the wind sucks the moisture out of them quickly but the compost doesn't dry out at the same rate, so a juggling act to avoid them sitting in cold wet conditions at the roots. To say nothing of the pepper and cucumber seedlings which look at me as if to say - 'and you expect us to grow' - even when under protection.
