Stormy Weather II

The sun emerged here during the broadcast of CE yesterday, and as the wind dropped and more blue sky appeared during the rest of the day the temperature gradually rose, although not into double digits. This morning was sunny early but getting a bit hazy. So long as it stays dry and gets warmer rather than colder I shall be happy as I'm going up town to visit 2 exhibitions and don't want to be encumbered by waterproofs etc.

Sunshine for the walk to the polling station and back. I like to check that the people I expect to be in position are there early in the morning. Very nearly abstained for the first time in my life but I wrote to the head of one of the borough's parties a week ago. In my e-mail I said I wouldn't take one step out of bed unless I got a decent response from him on woodland issues. The reply within 36 hours was so comprehensive, civil and even heartfelt that I could hardly not vote. But I don't expect it to make any substantial difference to the outcome.

New for this ward although he used to be just across the boundary.
I said, pointing my finger, "you are "x", aren't you" and he said "yes". I said "good luck" and he said "thanks" in a tailing off sort of way.
He looked a bit wary as if he had seen me before rather than just being in receipt of my e-mails so I think his team had provided him with a photo and defensive briefing notes.Last edited by Lat-Literal; 03-05-18, 08:33.
