'we will have to wait another month before a return to the sunshine of recent days. The Met Office predicted two weeks of showers across England, interspersed with a few sunny bursts, and that it would be mid-May before the weather turns more summery. Next week “looks very similar to this week”, Greg Dewhurst, a Met Office meteorologist, said. He added: “We will be back in drier and brighter weather by the middle of May. That’s when it could look better.” Temperatures by then are set to be above the average of about 16 to 17C.'

(Having said as much, I have to accept I don't have suburban values. They - and I very much include both my parents in this - want a garden to be like a light room in a house and they incessantly sweep whereas I am instinctively against tree cutting and dream that one day the plants and the animals will take over and erase all brick and concrete including our own.)Last edited by Lat-Literal; 24-04-18, 14:32.

Engineering doesn't always float my boat but it is a marvel.
Completion is now expected next month - a bit later than anticipated given the extreme radiation levels.
Meanwhile, a bit of old paving stone has been removed in this country on a day which is neither too hot nor too cold.
