He will be back again in a couple of weeks with a mat called something posh. I'd have settled for "carpet". Mostly I was in the garden during it all, bemoaning how it isn't its flowery self. Yes, some things are fighting back but others have given up the ghost. I also spent a very long time spading up dried slime. It is everywhere - but is it animal, vegetable or mineral? I am going to have to get some money from somewhere. Go to a pond in my animal rescue shorts. Fine lots of people for giving bread to the ducks. Call myself The Council.
Not someone posh called Mat, err, Lat??

Spring's here at last - a beautiful blue sky and a big yellow ball which if my memory serves is probably the sun! Amazing how quickly the feelgood factor comes into play.

Oh - I prefer pints in this weather.

My first t-shirted stint in the garden this year, today - I had gone out togged up as has been necessary over the past six weeks, but got far too hot. Lovely day - even during the "gunk-clearing" from the drains and gutters!

It's already 22c here today - which is what it maxed at yesterday, so I would envisage a 24 or 25C where we are, which is in a position that is enviously cool in hot summer conditions for London. It'll be interesting to see if Sunday's breakdown results in thunderstorms while the Marathon is being eaten... I mean run!

I think I'll stay clear of parks, and dogs, today!!!

Marathon and Paul Revere’s Ride are hopelessly muddled in my head, but I have a feeling both ended badly?

Very bad case of hay fever today. Always good to see the sun though.

That should die down to some extent this evening if the predictors are right, and rain dampens down the pollen: the sky's already clouding up for thunder, with storms kicking off over the Cherbourg peninsular and to its west - typical "Spanish plume" scenario. Ooh I just love this kind of weather! Shame everything's going to go back to normal on Monday.
