There has hardly been any wind at all throughout the morning, and the very high humidity is making it feel very stuffy, almost like a just vacated shower cubicle!

A dreary start to the day, with mist taking its time to clear and then being replaced by not quite drizzle - the sort of thing that can't be bothered to actually fall but just collects on surfaces - from low clouds. At midday the sun manage to flit in and out and the cloud lifted a bit and the temperature went up enough to get rather too warm walking back from town, getting to 17 then peaking at 18 degrees at 3pm. A decision to put washing out and then a while later get the bus for supermarket shopping was the cue for proper rain to fall for a while. However it went over quickly, the sun came out properly and the breeze did a good job of drying things out - including the washing.
The scaffolding was removed while I was out and the difference in interior light levels is significant, and warmth from the sun is also able to get in.
