Bright sun, light winds, clear viz, sky quarter filled by cumulus flotillas; midday temp 5 C. A walk this afternoon a must, since the weekend looks to be a write-off weather-wise.

The real problem with cycling at this time of year, even on a nice day, is the low angle of the sun; if I can't see what is in front of me, neither can motorists see me!

True! Even with shades it can be tricky. As for being seen by motorists, I tend to assume they won't be bothered about a second look, so I'm one of those ridiculed for using flashing lights in daylight.

A glorious day yesterday, with the sunshine and lack of air movement meaning that the low temperatures weren't a problem. Sadly the plan to potter in the garden was stymied by a pulled muscle over my rib cage which made ( and continues to make) moving my arm and breathing painful. Ah well, stuff happens.
This morning saw a pretty sunrise - pink underlit wispy clouds, but the wind is winding itself up and keeping the temps right down, although it should stay dry until evening.

Wet and miserable. Wind destroyed the rest of my umbrella, making it unusable, on my short walk today.

36hrs of almost non-stop rain and vicious NW wind.
You look at the window and it looks as if there is NO rain - but get closer and you realise that the window looks clear because the rain is so intense, the window is simply one solid stream - no drops, just water!

It looks like Scotland and the north are due to get clobbered once more, from Wednesday to Friday. Elsewhere it will "just" be very windy, with a fair amount of rain expected as well.

Google weather on my phone promised rain all day again - fortunately this was not the case and I could go for my normal hour long walk without getting wet. It's milder too.

It was dry and reasonably bright this morning, although windy, but the rain has now arrived and the temp has dropped. Tiresome, as I had admin to deal with and so couldn't get out, but now I've finished that going out doesn't appeal somehow! I'll just have to wrap up and do it anyway though as I need the exercise.
