    Good luck with that!

Sunny today, with some cloud. Might have a shower, this evening.

No treatment required, so it was!

Not really much to be said about the coming weather - we seem now to be into a pretty regular and vigorous set-up, alternating between mild and cool régimes; precise timing is everything. And the south should expect some rain, at last! - here in London we've only experienced 3 properly wet days this year so far!

Very early. One might almost say premature.

But after the dross experienced of late well deserved I would say.
A grey day, but mild here. Rain arrived unexpectedly at lunchtime but at least by then the volunteering garden session was finished so not a problem. It'll help wash away the muck that got tramped on the paths, and settle the earth where beds have been tidied in preparation for opening the site next month. Blue tits very busy and noisy looking for suitable holes in the brickwork for this year's nesting, and robins very appreciative of the titbits we were turning up. There were some early bees taking advantage of the last of the winter heliotrope flowers - lovely far reaching perfume for several weeks, but a pernicious weed that seems to have thrived in the chaotic weather of the past few years and takes a lot of time and effort just to keep it from spreading, never mind getting the upper hand to stop it from smothering the flowerbeds and grass areas.

              Great to hear!

              Today, rather cloudy and uninspiring.

Gathering from NW up here is a huge pall of dense cloud - so...? Snow? Yes, sun now, but.....coming is powerful wind certainly, and then.....rain and ...and/or...?
-2C at the mo - I laughed as BBC forecaster expect 5-8C in NW.
                Oh really? Tu plaisantes, eh?

Cloudy and grey up here on the heath. Recent frosty mornings have been quite fun but you only need so much of that. It'll be nice to get the bike out more regularly.

The real problem with cycling at this time of year, even on a nice day, is the low angle of the sun; if I can't see what is in front of me, neither can motorists see me!

Cold but sunny here. Jacket & gloves removed for final third of walk.

Dry and a fair amount of sun, which fooled me into not taking proper account of the "brisk breeze" when I went into town, and I regretted the lack of wind blocking of the jacket I was wearing. Never mind I'm sure the fresh air and exercise did me good - it certainly made me appreciate the return home and a welcome cup of tea. Tomorrow, I'm hoping the forecast for continued lack of rain is correct, so that I can get some gardening done - suitably wrapped up against the cold this time as temps are due to be even lower.

Sunday looks likely to be really wet and windy, so good luck with tomorrow!

I'm in the fortunate position at the moment of having a fair amount of opportunity to carpe diem when it comes to gardening, with chores able to be delayed and work not a factor yet as the season hasn't started. At the moment the nasty weather is set to make itself felt here towards the end of Sunday going into Monday, but as always timing is the key.

Temp here 0C at the mo.
Well, the penetrating cold and rain on the rising NW wind has finally driven me out of the garden - my fingers even in thick gloves too frozen to hold a hoe!

Lovely day today here - lunch in the Yorkshire Gliding Club cafe, watching gliders being launched by a giant bungee anchored at the edge of the Hambleton escarpment. Followed by a walk from Sutton Bank to Cold Kirby and back. Cool and windy (W veering WSW), but variable sunshine - lovely day, 6 Celsius. All the better for being our first day out of isolation.
