Fantastic day today in Lakeland (the geographical location not the retail outlet ). Brilliant sunshine with a low mist hugging the lake earlier this morning.
I think it’s going to be a good day today. I have my third Covid jab this morning and my regular transfusion treatment I have, for my Multiple Myeloma cancer. To keep my bones in check!

I shall possibly be visiting my regular pharmacy this afternon or tomorrow to find out if and when I can get my annual flu jab, following the warnings about dual infection and receiving my Covid booster last Friday.
Much cooler now, with temps back to the averages for mid-October: in my mid-70s now I am finding it harder to acclimatize than a decade ago, when I would wait until the first frosts to arrive, usually in November. But I finally caved in last night and switched on the central heating.

Did you manage a visit?
I think today will be ok today. I have a hospital appointment this afternoon. The one I had yesterday was for my regular cancer infusion treatment. I have this every eight weeks.

At 12 C at midday, much colder than I'd anticipated from the forecast: that temperature had to make quite a climb, following a cold night, and I was glad of my raincoat when cycling the mile down to W. Dulwich for a couple of bread loaves. Pretty boring weather, as is usual with autumn anticyclones, but at least preferable to the strong winds and drenching rain that nowadays represent normality whenever the winds swing back in from the west or south west, as expected this weekend. Still, temperatures look likely to remain on the warmish side.
Absolute gem of an Autumn day here - blue sky and sunshine - very little breeze and a very flat sea - a walk on the seafront Penzance to Newlyn was lovely.
Very cold last night, with some places seeing frost, so it took a while to warm up today with the sun being mostly behind clouds. Pleasant when it did show its face though.

Some unseasonally warm air is coming for the first half of next week, courtesy a broad sweep of sou'westerlies of Azores origin. Otherwise, weather patterns for the forseeable future are looking remarkably normal, for the time of year, in comparison with recent times, largely.

That’ll be good to see!
At the moment, we have rain. I think the weather people forecasted it wrong?
