Should hopefully remain dry today, but yes, it's going to warm up from tomorrow onwards. Probably be warmest in the west, furthest away from the influence of the North Sea, which should temper the heat hereabouts somewhat, thank goodness!
Yes, it has already at 08:36am!

The BBC forecast here of 'light cloud and a gentle breeze' is completely wrong on both counts. It is sunny but seriously windy! Earlier this morning we had some very strong wind indeed, it seemed at gale force or stronger for a time, but has since calmed down slightly The wind is a north-north westerly and is likely to take the edge off the temperature if it continues. Quite where or how the forecasters get 'a gentle breeze ' from I don't know as the trees, heavy in leaf, are now flapping around big style.

The forecast here doesn't mention air movement which is probably just as well; at a base level of 16mph, gusting mid twenties, and like you N and NW, a breeze it isn't by most folks reckoning. The garden is getting bashed and also dried out.
Shorts donned optimistically with 24C forecast but so far still only 18. Cloudy with a coolish breeze.
Last night probably will be the last night to get those windows open before retiring and let the cool air ventilate our interiors; from tomorrow night onwards into next week we can expect uncomfortably warm nights, figures not going below a tropical 21 C for Saturday and Sunday in London, according to predictions just now!
Our hottest day of the year so far. 24C / cloudless and no breeze.
Hah. I could have written that for you as once again it is the opposite of here - strong northerly "breeze"(gusting over 20mph) and no sun so way below your maximum, especially now.

21 C seems to be the optimum temperature for being outside, physically active or not; the woods smelled wonderful in the damp air this afternoon - one song thrush singing a slow intermittent chant, a late charmer. Windows now wide open to filter cool night time air through the flat.
And I have to sit in a car, with windows closed, waiting in a queue for a pre-op PCR test at 4 pm. I've been warned the wait could be of around 1 hour or more.
22.5 C at 12 noon here, so I'm guessing 27 max. For London, we're quite high up here at 250 ft... luckily: it gives us a breather compared with, say, Brixton, a couple of miles up the road.

24º too hot for me this morning. Going up ……… (29º at 4pm).
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.
