A fair bit of rain during the night, due to ease off during the morning, when wind will take over as a potential problem.

Not a good day, weather wise.

Another dreary day. The almost total lack of sunshine is a bit of a worry as the summer is passing by without a decent dose of vitamin D. It's also fairly windy here yet again with some rain and not at all warm at around 15 C.

          Feels more like late September.

The heavy shower that meant the reporter at Wimbledon had to shout to make himself heard over the din of the rain 15 minutes ago has now just reached us. The weather looks likely to continue in much the same vein until weekend.

Radar map looks very random. No rain so far here in N Wilts today

                It is freezing here.
                Not literally.

Funny you should say that. I've given in and put the heating on for a while. Thermometer says 21 C in my listening room but it feels quite chilly. Humidity reads 62 but I'm not sure what that signifies.

Different here. 24C in living room now. Quite comfortable in short sleeves and had garden door open earlier to relieve mugginess.

I see it’s the Jetstream, again, that is at fault, with our non-summer!!!!

18.4 C here, prolonged sunny periods, scattered thin cloud, virtually no wind.

Tipping it down - for the third or fourth time today (fortunately not when I was on a walk).

Talk about localised! For most of my short stint at work I was dodging very brief but increasingly wet bits of precipitation, and in fact got well caught on the way to my car to come home. As I travelled the rain eased and then stopped until halfway down the main road into town there was a line across the road, one side(that I was travelling towards) dry the other wet. From that point on some very slight evidence of much earlier rain in tucked away places but basically pavements and roads etc dry. In itself not so remarkable although seeing a line in the road like that is always a bit disconcerting, but as the crow flies, or rain cloud drifts, there is scarcely two miles between work and home...

I remember this happening many years ago as a child when travelling with my father. We were travelling towards the rain which we could see tipping down in the distance, then saw a line in the road as we got nearer, one side soaking wet, the other bone dry. It was quite a shock as we literally hit the downpour, windscreen wipers going furiously. I've never seen anything like this since.
