No, it really is.
We keep on having snow flurries, nothing proper, thank goodness. Must be a micro climate where we are.Don’t cry for me

Absolutely glorious day here: bright unbroken blue sky, with a big moon already higher than the sun probably got.
Perishing cold, though, with lake frozen and frost remaining in places where the sun doesn't reach at this time of year.
Water bowl out front for passing dogs frozen solid too, but it thawed easily enough when topped up with fresh water.

Snap x 2!!
Savage frost overnight which has only marginally cleared - kids toboganning on mere frost this a.m., but with skies cleared after all day brilliant sun, am anticipating more frost. High bright moon and even some stars already evident.
Incidentally, for drivers, be VERY careful that even when roads look frost free, the incipient frosticles between the tar particles melted this p;m. but is now re-freezing! i.e. black ice passim.

Brilliantly sunny here all day too, with frost partially melted only where the sun hasn't got at it. We seem to be in a bit of a "frost hollow" up here, presumably an effect of being on the northern slope of the Crystal Palace ridge: my shade temperature is always at least a couple of degrees celsius lower than anywhere reporting on the official weather sites within the London boundary - last night down to minus 3, same as Guildford and Sevenoaks, and only up to plus 2.5, where the "official" location for SE19 states 5 C max.
All change again tomorrow with a "vigorous" system whizzing east across all but the north of Scotland, short-lived heavy rain with even a threat of tornadoes/waterspouts for the Welsh/Lancs/Cumbrian coastline followed by strong westerlies, then milder, up to about 11 C, though still rather windy and wet conditions, coming in for the weekend. Many predictions are for this oscillation between types being likely to continue right through to the end of January, though in the past this has often been followed up by very cold Februaries, so we'll just have to keep an eye on the indications.

Reading back on this thread, I do hope that posters to the Forum get a sense of the fact that R3 is NOT just a South-East England thing.
Weather /Round Ball reports are usually from all sorts of areas and indicate maybe just how wide the listenership and interest in R3 is. Always encouraging to know!!
