Well it was certainly slippery here when I went out at 9, but none of the fog we were forewarned of; warm sunshine again, almost springlike.

      Stay safe SA!

Rather foggy out there at the moment. I expect it will clear. Going to have physio this morning to help my mobility. So hoping I don't have anything that my body doesn't like.

Easily the thickest fog here in years - literally can barely see across the road! And am scheduled an X-ray in a town 10 miles away - good luck with that! No bus, no taxi will take me, so......??

We have fog too, but not so thick, thankfully!

No fog here, just what someone witty on a weather site describes as "mizzle"! The dampness makes the 11 C feel less mild than it would were the air drier. It looks like it's going to stay much the same as this until Xmas Day over much of the country, when winds are expected to pick up.

              ... o, I think it's legit :

Mizzle is a term used in Devon and Cornwall for a combination of fine drenching drizzle or extremely fine rain and thick, heavy saturating

Yup - a mizzleable day here in this bit of the Pennines, too: the sort of rain that seems very light, but which soaks through layers within minutes. Mist, grey - but no fog, and remarkably mild for late December: 10 degrees.

Fog far denser even than yesterday. Worrying for families travelling? Genuinely cannot see across the road!

Light fog or rather mist on the River Ribble estuary this morning. We seem to get much less fog than we used to these days. Is that possible?

Non-snap today here, DracoM: better weather than yesterday in fact - just as mild, but no drizzle and white (as opposed to grey) cloud.

Let's give Danks the weather's not worse. Today has been quite mild and calm down here, with even a few glimpses of warm sunshine earler on - a pretty rare combination at this time of the year, when high pressure-associated calm would normally indicate freezing, and mildness, deep, long fetch depression systems passing to the north, wind and rain. I've just come back from a rather slippery walk through some of the neighbourhood's woods, and everywhere there's that smell so characteristic of midwinter, combining wood smoke and the fust of moss and damp leaves, which I personally find most pleasant.
