Snow, sleet, rain, thaw, rain, sleet, snow etc all in the space of a few hours. Filthy, wet cold in cutting easterly
Roads in and out - using of necessity routes up and over high ground etc - very dodgy.

Evidence of both overnight frost and heavy rain - delightful. Milder today but grey and very damp even if not actually raining at the moment - that's to come later.

Touch of spring here too @ just under 13 C - making the most of which (since the future's not looking good weatherwise) I took to the high routes for a quick 6-mile cycle ride after lunch: no need for overcoat or even raincoat at these temperatures.

Up here, 2 hrs ago it was 0C, now it's -2C. And a very nasty easterly is whipping freezing rain into sleet.
Hearing of temps a 10-12C+ simply amazing.

                Ditto!

And here, too! Currently pouring with rain and it's been cold, damp and dreary all day. Temperature round about 3 or 4 C at best.

Be patient: we should be joining you on Sunday, for a 4-day spree of near zero temperature maxima, strong NE winds and heavy snow showers.

Another rather uninspiring day today. I think it could be drizzling, actually. The forecast said showers!

Similar here, but dry so far, and we might miss the forecast later rain if it follows the expected path. Mention of the Chilterns in the summary again makes me question the information contained, as I think it is stretching things to include that in an East of England summary(the concept of East Anglia as a region seems to be losing favour), but I find the map and its updates more useful anyway in working out what might happen. Knowing what the terrain is at the recording station, and between there and my home town helps as well.

Lookin bright here and mild - says 11.5C on my weather station but since I replaced batteries in the external sensor seems to be reading higher than it feels outside but I’ll settle for the feelgood factor!

If so that is just absurd - East Anglia having a very distinct climate of its own.

The idea of East Anglia memorably had Big Brother star Jade Goody confused. Was she alone?

Well, Jade Goody did arf trawl come from sarf of The River - Bermondsey, so that was only to be expected of her. More problematic is whether or not anywhere south of the Thames in includable in the East End - I've heard some as says it does.

One of the indicators on the north-bound M25/A12 slip road is marked EAST ANGLIA, with a right turn arrow for the Brentwood by-pass; my father always used to complain about this, saying, "But we are ALREADY in East Anglia!".
