    A cold and frosty morning.

Not actually raining here, but grey and damp - as you say lights on all day. However yesterday was such a glorious NAF day - wall to wall sunshine and cloudless blue sky instead of murk and rain - that it would be rather churlish to complain about today being as forecast. So I'll be churlish...

Strange weather here today, as it was murky first thing, then turned somewhat foggy around elevenses time, before clearing to weak sunshine (which had been ruled out in the official forecast) with the temperature only maxing out at 10 C, the same as yesterday. With little air movement and lots of damp I anticipate thick fog forming this evening.

ChurLISH is acceptable, as it only goes part of the way - it's CHURL that goes too far.

Up here, wind has gone round to ENE, and it is dry so far, but BITTER. Temp moved from 7C>4C as afternoon went on.
One suspects it ain't stopped dropping yet. Thick cloud overhead

At the moment looks rather uninspiring.

Pleasant morning here with a gentle breeze from ESE, 11C.

Up here - whiteout - fells invisible in drizzly murk.
                BUT
hasn't stopped the usual Sunday roar of motorcyclists racing through. Are they out of what minds they've got?

Probably just 'thinking' about the extra thrill from the risk of parting company with road/track/bike. The possibility that that list might include 'life'(and not necessarily their own) doesn't register.

A stereotypical November day of calm dampness, poor visibility, a featureless stratus blanket with its base around 800 ft shrouding the upper half of our famous answer to the Eiffel Tower. I managed a five mile afternoon walk, necessitated by avoiding paths I would usually take, which are now too muddy. People were out in the large numbers that have become a growing feature of the lockdown here, cheerfully as ever exercising selves, children, dogs, and granddad in his mobile chair. Especially noticeable, this autumn, is the earliness of the lea fall, compared to most years recently. Do they know something about the approaching winter we don't? The forecast is for much the same until a big low swings in from the NW on Friday, bringing cold Canadian air in its circulation and destined to settle right in the middle of the country for the weekend, when we might get our first experience of snow since last winter - or at any rate sleet, even down here.

Looks like another pleasant day like yesterday 10C.

Grey and rainy all day they reckon and chilly despite the wind coming from milder directions - perhaps because of its quantity. I will have to go out at some stage as I have a letter that needs Post Office input, but no need for shopping so that makes things more tolerable.

Turned greyer and duller as the day has progressed.
