I used to walk quickly ‘when I wore a younger man’s clothes’.

Was that when you weren't playing the piano, man?

          Let’s hope it doesn’t rain!

That comment is owed to Billy Joel!

Looks a very pleasant morning here today!

One of those 'grey from beginning to end lights on all day' days, with the promise of rain before long. Going out for errands will be tiresome but if I do it today then the forecast good weather on Thursday can be spent doing something nicer.

It rained from before 7 to between 10 and 11 here. Fortunately it was completely dry for my walk (12-1) and mild as well.

Low cloud from that weak cold front, which brought you the rain yesterday (but none here!), stuck around all this morning, trapping remnants of yesterday's relatively mild air and keeping our temperature up at around 9 C today, whereas it was anticipated to be a couple of degrees lower in the clear air further NW. That cloud has now mostly dispersed, clearing skies indicating the strong possibility of frost for us tonight. And with much of the country stuck in between various high pressure and low pressure systems, the remainder of November and the start of December look likely to be similar to now, i.e. on the coldish side of mean, which would give maxes of 8 C and minima of 3 C. Not really cold other than subjectively so, given that we've had the benefits of above average temperatures for so much of the year. "Expert" opinion presently appears to be about 50/50 0ver whether it will be an average or cold winter.

Cloudless sky and striking long shadows for this afternoon's bike spin.

Today, blue skies and sun, but frosty!

It’s been a lovely day here today - clear blue skies to mid afternoon followed by an interesting band of cloud - it looked like a massive vapour trail and went on to produce a superb sunset. A day like this I would notbwish to be anywhere else.

That's just about what we had here. Lovely to see the sun and not have rain, but it was cold. There was a sharp frost last night and despite the sun it didn't get anywhere near double digits all day. Tomorrow set to be murky all day - morning fog followed by afternoon cloud, possibly some rain, and cold again with frost overnight.

Tipping it down with rain here all morning and it's so dark that it's clearly going to be one of those days with the lights on all day.

Same here although the rain stopped at around 11. Once I'd warmed up my walk was pleasant, not much wind.
