I'll be sure to prioritize that particular experience next time I'm in the vicinity, although I'm not sure whether mizzling is the same as misting?

I doubt it but maybe - mizzle is I suspect a corruption of mist and drizzle and more an outdoor phenomenon and drifts in horizontally and seems to be common in W Cornwall and probably related to sea and air temperatures.

Weather forecasters say it’s going to be 34C today?!?!?

Currently 27.6C here - ugh! Let's hope a sea breeze sets in before too long. It's been announced that our beach - well, part of it - has been awarded a Blue Flag, so we'll probably not be short of day-trippers over the next few days.

Forecast to get up to 28C here - fantastic! What's not to like?

Not so sweltering and sunny here - rather overcast and sun may break through later but at least we haven’t got the mizzle today.

At least it stands some chance of remaining Blue Flag standard. The pressure of visitors on the south coast beaches won't do anything for water quality.*
28 degrees at 7-30 in the shade this morning. I had hoped to do something vaguely treat-like for my birthday but will go for pleasure postponed. Doing anything in 30 plus heat which is what we're heading for doesn't appeal, even less so if it involves queuing which is likely.

*But good practice for getting rid of those pesky EU regs...

16C here, sunlit big clouds. Breeze. Pleasant.

Just had a huge minute long downpour out of absolutely nowhere. One second the sun was blazing down, the next second a cloud moved across and these large drops of rain began to fall, then in another second it was a downpour. A minute later the sun is blazing down again!

I felt like a merrymaking peasant in Beethoven's Pastoral Symphony.

Exactly the same thing here has just happened.

Yep and Test match off for fifteen minutes. Weird weather.
                        Warm, dull, steamy here.

[...which I now glumly realise is quite a good character sketch of this poster]

Did you do a Hipp hop skip and jump or a Klemperer plod?

Suddenly became overcast with high cloud and sprinkly rain. Went down from 28 to 25 with a pleasant breeze. Much nicer conditions for a gentle bike ride.

I did the Norrington Dash and still got soaked! It was pretty weird as it literally came out of nowhere. The large size of the raindrops was like I've never seen before. However, it's been hot and sunny ever since.

Perhaps SA can offer an explanation for this strange phenomenon.
