A very dreary day here. It was drizzling for much of the afternoon and visibility has been surprisingly poor for the time of year. Not that warm either.

I'm pleased to be able to report that I was proved wrong and it did rain, not heavily but persistently and for quite some time - and there may be more. As the wind had dropped right away the moisture has been able to get into the ground with the minimum of rainshadow or the frustrating sight of evaporation as soon as it hits the ground which has happened so much over the past months. Tomorrow looks as if it will be cool and damp, not nice for humans but plant and much animal life will welcome it.

Or shall we start a new thread for acronym expansion possibilities, with yours being the first entry?
We had the slug and snail disposal unit (which I almost got right) recently.

The current weather - grey and damp/wet - is good news for the garden but has done nothing for mental clarity so far today.

We're stuck with this until it clears on Friday. With any luck, high pressure should build over the southern part of the UK, giving all but N Ireland and Scotland a couple of days of warmish sunshine.
