Supposed to be 23C today. Hotting up,again? May go for a saunter, later.
Similar here - though there are some threatening shower clouds presently building to the SE. But any showers are being predicted to develop north of the M4/A12, so if I'm going to risk an outing today this will be my big gamble!
The late morning walk into town for supplies was pleasant; blue sky with pretty fluffy bits, sunny, warm rather than hot and with a slight breeze to waft the flower scents around. Definitely good enough to offset the fact that the shopping was largely unsuccessful and there were some awkward folks about. It's now quite a bit warmer so I'll do the one small job in the garden that needs doing, and see how things are in the evening - the high pollen count sometimes makes evenings outside inadvisable, for sleep purposes.

Very high grass pollen count today. I was sneezing the moment the gardner began cutting our lawn - and that was with the windows closed!
Suddenly, we're into a chain of fierce storms: 20 minutes between, hot sun, then the rain of literally equatorial intensity, then clear, and an hour later the same!
I've only seen rain of that intensity in Costa Rica or Brazil. And the noise on the roof!
In 90+ minutes, we've had about as much rain as in the first six months of this year. Astonishing intensity.
You think it's slowing down to a gallop, and then back in it comes on the charge.
NW winds driving it all.
I think the West Country is going to be affected quite a bit by storms. As usual my area, seems to be avoided by it. Ah well. I like a good storm. I think we, most certainly need some rain. Another sunny day I think today is going to be.

Indeed - at lunchtime I thought we were going to be in for an afternoon of showers. However, they seem to be sparking off further to the north and west of here today, giving spectacular views of towering cumulonimbus clouds, dramatically set off against dark blue skies. Thursday could turn out a very stormy day for this part of the world: the M4/A14 corridor expected to be aligned with a strong convergence trough moving in from the east, with London slap in the middle. However, it is still very difficult to predict the precise location and timing of such events, being as they are dependent on previous occurrences, of which there are not that many in the records. New weather patterns are occurring all the time now that we are under unprecedented conditions resulting from climate change.
One heck of a thunderstorm going on here at the moment together with some very heavy rain. The lights have been flickering every now and then so hoping there isn't a power cut.
