Warmer than indicated by the online BBC forecast, as the easterly breeze is considerably less fresh than the values given would suggest.

I wish! It's a constant round of watering here, and filling the two birdbaths. No rain for the foreseeable.

Do you mean a presenter-based forecast? We've found that the Met Office App is very good; and if you back it up with a Meteo France forecast (for the UK obviously!)
you get a pretty accurate picture of, say, 3 days ahead. Talking of slightly longer range forecasts (e.g. a week/10 days ahead) we've found that in the southern part of England, the weather has in general been better than predicted over the past month.

No - bbc.co.uk/weather forecast for Felixstowe. I've often sat here surprised at the contrast between the forecast and what's happening outside my window.
(DracoM: the forecast for Stavanger doesn't look too good!)

...............which is exactly why I followed farmers' advice up here [in NW] and went to https://www.yr.no/
Farmers need to be pretty clear at lambing times, harvesting, ploughing etc. and they - round here anyway - have found the BBC - erm...well, less reliable?

No rain for York all next week, according to the yr site; but down to 0C Tuesday morning, so we'll have to bring some of the newly planted seed trays indoors.

No rain and very warm tomorrow they reckon so watering again. Any longer activity in the garden will be hampered by the high pollen count - I was having problems today walking to do the shopping, then a short garden session tidying dead leaves and other debris from potted plants. Mid afternoon onwards was spent indoors waiting for things to subside. In the current climate being out in public coughing and sneezing is rather difficult...The antihistamines will be needed I think, not something I'm keen on as they upset my already twitchy gut, but there comes a point when that is the lesser of two evils.

I agree that the Met Office app is generally the best and very user-friendly. I also like the site of a weather station a couple of miles away from us at Brinkworth (longest village in England). It has current weather, detailed records and links to forecast7.com. Not so much use unless you live in N Wilts but this the link

I’ve got to say the BBC Spotlight and Radio Cornwall weather forecasters are usually spot on!

Ah yes, but that's where real people live, not the wild, wild North West - all very strange people up three....phew! Never know WHAT's going on up there!!!
