A glorious golden sunrise and it's due to stay cloudless and sunny all day. The wind is the downer - due east in these parts isn't good news(except for drying things). It's a reminder though of how things used to be years ago when this sort of weather was quite common here at the beginning of the year. Less pleasant was when overcast conditions got 'stuck' and the biting cold wasn't leavened by sun - folks got very grumpy! It made for difficulties with newly emerging/sown crops as well - dessicating winds with added soil blow aren't good news for anything with leaves or without roots!

The weather today looks much about the same, so I will do similar as yesterday. It always does me the power of good, going for a saunter.Don’t cry for me

It wasn't as clear early on as yesterday and there is quite a bit of wispy high level cloud, but nothing to obscure the sun. I rather overdid the gardening yesterday so will have to resist the urge to get out and carry on preparing the new veg bed - this drying wind is excellent for making the claggy bits workable so I can get compost tickled in for the worms to do their stuff.
